Description
San Pedrillo is the first station to reach by boat in Corcovado. This daytrip departs at 6am. After a 25min boat ride along the coast you’ll arrive to this beautiful ranger station directly on the beach.
The morning hike takes you 3 hours into primary rainforest. Some common things to see are Monkeys (Howler, Spider, & Capuchin Monkey) as well as the Coati, Great Curassow, Agouti, Sloth and Crocodile. Looping around back along the coast to the Ranger Station where a delicious picnic is served.
Your second hike, approx. 1½Hour takes you to a waterfall, where you are sure to enjoy a refreshing swim in the lagoon. Follow the river and you may spot a king fisher, Heron, or Jesus Christ lizard.
We return about 2:30pm to Drake Bay.
What to wear:
Comfortable clothing (Long Pants or long sleeve shirt is optional) bathing suit, water shoes (for the wet landing) Closed-toed shoes (for the hike).
What to bring:
Big Bottle of water, sun block, mosquito repellant and dry bag.
